Needs Analysis

Each person and organization has a different reason for "being on the Net".

    •  This reason will determine how their Internet presence should be setup. EnterFace interviews clients before installing an Internet presence. This interview is part of a "needs analysis", which determines the installation requirements. From this information, we can determine an initial training program that is designed for your needs.

    Installation

    EnterFace uses a full service Internet Service Provider (ISP) for a complete link to the Internet. In addition to standard e-mail and web browser capability, full service includes:

  • Telnet
  • Internet Relay Chat (IRC)
  • File Transfer Protocol (ftp)
  • Usenet
    •  Full access requires the computer to be reconfigured so it can "talk" to the ISP. Protocols need to be established and software settings need to be checked. EnterFace installs and tests each setup to ensure the Internet connection is optimal. After this is confirmed, a preliminary training session can begin.

    Web Page Design

    Your web pages are your opportunity to address your community, region, or the world. It describes your organization, its location, and how to get in touch.

    EnterFace has designed web pages for small businesses, non-profits, and individuals. The pages are based on HTML standards which are used by all web browsers. In addition, the page is reviewed by technical editors and our own in-house "nitpickers" for content and form. Hence we maximize the audience that can read, understand, and use your message.

    The procedure for setting up a web presence is straightforward (but not simple). Once an "Internet committee" is identified, a preliminary web site can be discussed: its message, its layout, its content. The relevant pictures, symbols, and links can then be collected and organized into an initial web page. This is then submitted to the committee for review. Comments will then be incorporated into the site for final evaluation. A test run is made for further comments. A final version is then uploaded onto the web server and released to the public.

Based on the Needs Analysis, a training program is implemented to accelerate your use of the Internet at your own site. This includes:
